The main lobby is home to several displays relating to the history of Lake Cowichan and the surrounding region. Displays include; a model representation of the train station as it was prior to closure and repurpose as the museum, a display detailing the history of the Chinese contribution to the forestry industry, and a logging equipment section where one can see a variety of tools used by the European settlers and the Indigenous inhabitants.
